Cemosis Projects Documentation
1. Welcome to Cemosis documentation!
Cemosis is the technological platform in mathematics of University of Strasbourg. Cemosis aims at fostering collaborations between mathematicians and enterprises as well as other disciplines. Here you will find the documentation of some Cemosis projects in different applications domains: environment, health and physics.
1.1. Expertise
Cemosis expertise is in
-
modeling simulation and control
-
data analysis, big data, IA
-
high performance computing
-
signal and image processing
1.2. Enterprise Collaborations
ENTERPRISE
Collaborations with enterprises can be setup at three levels:
-
Level 1, short term less than a year
-
Level 2, medium term 6 months to two years
-
Level 3, long term up to three years
The means implemented
-
A team of experts
-
Methodological and technological assistance in the areas of our expertise
-
Optional :
-
One PhD student advisor (maximum 32 days/year)
-
Acessing small to large HPC computing ressources
-
Access to training (continuing education, etc.)
-
Funding assistance that can be provided
-
Support of the AMIES structure (PEPS programme, …)
-
Public funding through regional, national and european agencies
-
Private direct contracting
-
Double research tax credit
-
HPC/SME programme: financial support for access to high-performance computing
1.3. Multidisciplinary Collaborations
MULTIDISCIPLINARY
Multidisciplinary collaborations start typically with a short term project like a master internship to explore the collaborative research possibilities. Various ways to follow on the first step are:
-
Co-Advised Ph.D.
-
Public funded project through regional or national agencies e.g. ANR.
1.4. National and International Relations
In France, we work closely with AMIES, the national agency for mathematics in interaction with enterprises and society.
In Europe, we are part of the EU-MATHS-IN network. It is a new initiative to boost mathematics for industry in Europe
